Buffs are abilities that serve to empower your own units.

Ability: Absorb Pain Strength: N/A Range: Touch
Type: Active Subtype: Buff
Absorb Pain.png This Unit links itself to target friendly unit that is not already linked. Any damage dealt to the linked unit is instead reduced by 35% and dealt to this unit.
  • Can only be used once per combat
  • Any one unit can not be protected multiple times
  • This effect cannot be chained
  • The unit will guard after use
  • Can not be used on Machine.png Machines or other units with absorb pain


Ability: Awaken Spirit Strength: +3 Physical Damage +500 Happiness
Type: Active, Buff Range: Touch
Awaken Spirit.png Bestows +500 Happiness and +3 Physical Damage melee damage to an Animal.png Animal until the end of combat.
  • Cooldown: 1 Turn
Ability: Bestow Iron Heart Strength: 15 Hit Points
Type: Active Subtype: Buff, Heal Range: Touch
Bestow Iron Heart.png Restores 15 Hit Points to target friendly unit. In addition, the unit receives +1 Defense, +1 Resistance, and Strong Will.png Strong Will until the end of combat.
  • Can only be used once per combat
Ability: Dragon Ancestry Range: Touch
Type: Active Subtype: Buff
Dragon Ancestry.png Bestows High Morale(Ability).png High Morale, Fire Protection.png 40%Fire Damage Protection, and Fire Damage.png Fire Strike on target friendly DraconianIcon.png Draconian unit until end of combat.
  • Can only be used once per battle
Ability: Guardian Flame Strength: 10 Hit Points
Type: Active Subtype: Buff, Heal Range: Touch
Guardian Flame.png Restores 10 Hit Points to target friendly unit. In addition, the unit receives Fire Protection.png 40%Fire Damage Protection and the unit's melee attacks deal +2 Fire Damage damage until the end of combat.
  • Can only be used once per battle
Ability: Nourishing Meal Strength: +15 Hit Points + 100 Happiness
Type: Active Subtype: Heal, Buff
Nourishing Meal.png Gives +15 Hit Points + 100 Happiness to target friendly unit, and heals for 15 Hit Points. Outside combat, heals the party for 15 Hit Points divided among the wounded.
  • Undead units can be healed with this ability, but are unaffected by the morale bonus and the increase in maximum Hit Points.
  • Incorporeal and Machine units can never be affected by this ability.
  • Can be used only once per battle
  • Does nothing to Morale outside of combat.
Ability: Sprint Strength: +12 Movement
Type: Active Subtype: Buff Range: N/A
Sprint.png The unit is able to Sprint in combat. Sprinting provides an additional +12 Movement and enemy Attacks of Opportunity are avoided.
  • The unit may still attack after sprinting
  • Cooldown: 3 Turn
  • Can not be used by Embarked.png Embarked units
Ability: Touch of Faith Strength: +3 Resistance +400 Happiness
Type: Active Subtype: Buff Range: Touch
Touch of Faith.png Bestows +3 Resistance and +400 Happiness on target friendly unit until end of combat. Undead units are not affected.
  • Can only be used once per battle
Ability: War Cry Strength: +3 Physical Damage
Type: Active, Buff Range: N/A
War Cry.png Grants the unit +3 Melee damage until the end of the turn.
  • Can only be used once per battle.
