Empire Happiness

Empire Happiness ( Happiness Text.png ) is an all-influencing factor. It is regarded as a base Happiness Happiness Text.png for all your cities before application of their individual modifiers comes into play, as well as being added to the Morale Happiness Text.png of all your Units.

Increasing Empire Happiness

Empire Happiness Happiness Text.png can be increased in one of the following ways:

+25 Recruited Hero 5 Turns Text.png Accept a Hero's proposal to join
+100 Wealthy Empire - Have 1000 Gold Text.png or more in your treasury
+100 Vanquished an enemy leader 10 Turns Text.png Send the enemy leader to the void permanently. Surrender does not count.
+100 Heptatopia Eternal

+100 Own a Unity Beacon Tower -
+100 Alignement away from neutral 10 Turns Text.png Alignement moves from Neutral toward Evil or from Neutral toward Good

Empire Happiness Penalties

Negative Empire Happiness Happiness Text.png modifiers can be suffered in the following ways:

Happiness Text.png Penalty Description Duration When
-100 Lost 3 battles in a row 5 Turns Text.png Lose 3 Battles in a row.
-400 Age of Deception Until Disjuncted When an enemy Rogue casts Age of Deception.
-100 Leader has fallen 10 Turns Text.png Your leader is forced into the void.
-100 Lost a City 10 Turns Text.png A city has been taken from you by force.
-25 A hero has fallen 5 Turns Text.png Lose a hero.
-50 Enemy owns a Unity Beacon Until city holding beacon is captured by enemies. Happiness penalty incurred for each faction with an unlit unity beacon.
-100 Enemy lighting a Unity Beacon Until city holding beacon is captured by enemies.
-150 Enemy owns a Unity Beacon Tower Until city holding beacon is captured by enemies. Happiness penalty incurred for each faction with a lit unity beacon.
-200 Treasury Emptied - Have less than 50 Gold Text.png in your treasury and negative income
-100 Alignement toward neutral 10 Turns Text.png Alignement moves from Evil toward Neutral or from Good toward Neutral
-50 Civil Unrest Until the city is not Very Unhappy or worse any more A city you control is Very Unhappy or Rebellious (-400 Happiness or less). Does not affect Necromancer Players with an Unhappy Living City.
